SPIN Report from Etna Police Department:

From: Officer Cook
To: All LEO's
Subject: War Dog Sighting
Date: August 11th, 2008

On 8/10/08, I handled a call at the fatal accident site in our town on Parker St. for a possible domestic. As I arrived on scene, I encountered several members of the Wardogs. The incident that occurred was related to one of the members, Joseph Sees, and his daughter over a family issue and did not involve any other members of the Wardogs. Apparently the victim of the accident was a member or an associate of the Wardogs. I did not encounter any problems with the group. Just a F.Y.I that the group is in the North Hills area.

This SPIN Report was written by Officer Cook of The Etna Police Department. I am not sure what his motivation was for this report. If Officer Cook wanted to try his hand at journalism, he should have at least attempted to be accurate. Joe Sees is a Member of the War Dogs Motorcycle Club. He is a fine gentleman. He has never been charged or convicted of any crime. This was no domestic. There was no fighting, arguing, or unruly behavior. Joe's daughter and girlfriend got into a short argument in the street about an unrelated issue. Joe was not even involved in the argument. We are not sure why the Police were even called. There were no citations, arrests, or even a warning given to anyone. There were a group of ten people at the accident site. Two of them were War Dogs. They were not even wearing colors. The group went to the accident site because Al Brocklebank's girlfriend, Linda, wanted to see where her man had just been killed. Al Brocklebank was a War Dog. He was Joe's best friend. He was a great man with a gentle soul. No one that ever met Al disliked him. The group wanted to support Linda because she insisted on visiting the site of the crime. Officer Cook knew Joe was a War Dog and assumed the other guys with him were as well. I guess he felt this was SPIN worthy and decided to report it. It might stem from his inexperience. He is fairly new to his job and is a young Officer. Had Officer Cook done a little more research before attempting to get a scoop posted on the SPIN Network, he might have added in his SPIN Report that Al is the second War Dog to be killed by a drunk driver in six weeks. Neither of our Brothers that were killed had consumed a drop of alcohol prior to their deaths. Joe visited Police Chief William Grover from the Etna Police Department and told him he had nothing to do with the domestic and asked him to retract the SPIN report that had accused him of such. The Police Chief acknowledged the error but did nothing about it. I hope all Law Enforcement is not so anxious to report a War Dog sighting because the SPIN Network will get bogged down! Another F.Y.I. - There are War Dogs in most communities in the Tri-State area.

On another note, we appreciate Law Enforcement's efforts in apprehending both of the criminals that killed our Brothers. The man who killed Al was Stephen M. Novacic of Shaler. Court documents said a breath test performed at the scene showed Novacic's blood alcohol content was 0.265 percent, more than six times the legal limit of 0.04 percent for commercial drivers. It happened in the middle of the afternoon. I wish you would have included that in your report, Officer Cook.
